Due to the quickly changing situation related to the Coronavirus, on March 31st Kern County extended the essential staffing model to May 1 at 5:00 PM.  During this period, most County buildings will be closed to the public with only essential services being offered.

Deferred Compensation

Kern County provides access to a 457 (b) deferred compensation plan to all employees. Some employees are also eligible to receive an employer match for contributions to this tax-deferred retirement savings plan. Flexible Spending Account

Pension/Retirement
